It's been quite some time...

I am soo glad that spring is finally here! I was sick for three weeks and it was absolutely miserable but now that spring has sprung, I feel rejuvenated. The weather outside is gorgeous and I'm savoring it right now because I know in about a month it is going to be hot as Hades and I am going to have to endure my third Texas summer without an AC. I really need to fix my bike because I miss getting to ride it around. The only thing is, is that Abilene has to be the least hospitable place for bikers, ever. My friend Krisi rode her bike to Buffalo Gap(a little town about 20 miles out) and got honked at numerous times and flipped off by quite a few people also. People here don't understand that cyclist have the same rights as any other vehicle on the road. I really don't know how she does it. Especially with hoards of rednecks in their huge, souped up pick-up trucks; flying by at eighty miles an hour and hurling their DQ Texas sized soft drinks at unsuspecting cyclist.
I'm waiting tables at another Italian restaurant in Abilene and I like it alright. It would be basically the same as the last restaurant I worked at... if you substituted the people I used to work with, with the cast of every reality TV show that MTV has put out in the past few years. Seriously, I work with some obnoxious people. Unfortunately, they are not just annoying. Most of them are annoying, served with sides of bossy and trailer trash attitude. There's one lady in particular, who has worked their since she was a young witch and is about as lovable as a fire breathing dragon. She yells at everyone for everything. She even yells at you if you try to help her and take out her food to her table. (I witnessed this on my first week of work). Of course, she doesn't care if it sat there for five minutes while she was busy. I think she just really enjoys being mean to people.
Life is pretty good though. Right now, it basically consist of work and school but summer is close and I can't wait! It's going to be an awesome one, I can feel it. Also, a question for anyone who reads this. Does anyone else find ice cream trucks to be scary? Because I think they are terrifying, with their peeling paint and creepy sounding music. I really hate hearing them drive around my neighborhood every single day. They are not welcome on my street!
